The Pencak Silat event lowered its curtains on 26th November late afternoon. Two national silat athletes collected two silver medals in the finals of their respective categories. The finals were held at the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan.

 

In the morning, four matches were held. Malaysia won gold in the Boy's Class H, 67 to 71 kilograms after defeating Vietnam.

 

For the Girl's Tanding Class E, 55 to 59 Kilograms, gold went to Indonesia after defeating Vietnam.

 

Meanwhile, for Boy's Tanding Class B, 43 to 47 Kilograms, Indonesia beat Cambodia.

 

For Boy's Tanding Class C, 47 to 51 kilograms, Indonesia defeated Vietnam.

 

In the afternoon, in the Boy's Individual Tunggal, Indonesia won gold after defeating Malaysia.

 

For Girl's Individual Tunggal, the country's athlete, Nursyakirah Mawaddah won silver after beating Malaysia.

 

For Boy's Tanding Class D, 51 to 55 kilograms, the country's athlete, Muhd Raid Naim Muhd Syamsuddin lost to Indonesia.

 

Meanwhile, Malaysia won gold in the Boy's Tanding Class E, 55 to 59 Kilograms after defeating Indonesia.

 

Medals were presented by Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, who earlier officially closed the Pencak Silat Event of 14th ASEAN School Games.
